A family of four in Powhatan called on us when they starting feeling a little too close for comfort. They wanted a place to relax and entertain, a way to enjoy their peaceful wooded surroundings, and an overall more modern and luxurious feel to their home. A much needed Home Addition was in their future.
Together we developed a plan to add a one-story addition around back of the house and a second story above a new, two-car garage, tied seamlessly into the second floor. Interior renovations included remodeling the kitchen by replacing all kitchen cabinets and countertops with warm, oak wood and sleek granite countertops, including matching island, up-to-date appliances, and new tile flooring. As for outdoor sitting space, a 336-square foot wooden deck attached to the new family room was just what this house needed make the most of its natural setting. With perfectly coordinated brick, siding, and trim, plus a few landscaping touches, the house seems as though it’s always been as grand as it is today.
The total result? A totally new sense of coziness and style for everyone who calls this home. Even the family cars are now protected from the elements.
