Our team of seasoned Home Addition experts love the challenge of an extreme home makeover and we had the opportunity to complete one for a special Henrico family.
With an entire house Home addition renovation, it’s vital to stay focused on the big picture, even when seemingly small decisions are being made. This family wished to transform a cramped, outdated home into one filled with natural light, openness, and modern amenities, with both indoor and outdoor space in which to connect, dine, and entertain. We gutted virtually every section of the house, reframing walls, constructing a new stairwell, building a new bathroom and kitchen, and converting their screened porch at the front into a cozy breakfast nook. We also added a two-story addition to the rear of the house, including a rec room for everyone to enjoy. Final touches included a bay window plus second-story and ground-level decks, ideal for enjoying their sunlit, natural surroundings.
The outcome? A small house that was cramping a family’s style, into a Home Addition that is now the picture of contemporary beauty and functionality. Once 1,364 square feet of space, the home now boasts 2,206 feet of fine craftsmanship. From floor to ceiling, it’s modern, clean, and highly functional.
